Welcome to Wavy Thoughts, a newsletter for people who suspect that an instruction manual on how to be a functioning human is mailed to everyone at some point, and theirs somehow got lost in the post.
This newsletter is for neurodivergent folks, queer folks, folks who feel marginalised, on the outer, on their own. Here we celebrate the waviness of our brains in all their glory.
Who writes Wavy Thoughts?
Me, Ren Riley. I am a writer from the North of England who, after feeling like an alien who had crash landed to earth for the majority of their life, discovered at age 29 that I am in fact autistic and ADHD.
What kind of content do you write about?
Free subscribers get access to the main Wavy Thoughts posts published every weekend. The main newsletters are usually personal essays about topics such as neurodivergence, identity and anything else I want to explore.
Paid subscribers receive access to The Book Diaries, a series where I am documenting the process of self-publishing my first book - a collection of essays about autism and ADHD. I’m really enjoying sharing my insights and delighted that people are joining me for the journey.
If you can’t become a paid subscriber but would like to tip me as a one off, my tip jar is here:
